Freelance photographer based in the Shetland Islands. 

Work ranges from fine art, portraiture and landscape to commercial and event photography. Commissions undertaken, have a look at my updated website for a window on Shetland life.               

After a lifelong interest in photography a switch to digital and a major career change proved to be the catalyst for my decision to pursue a new career as a freelance photographer.  After nearly two years I am happy to say this is proving to be a fairly successful move.
 
My work ranges from landscape and fine art through to portraiture and commercial commissions.  I have exhibited locally and gained a couple of awards in the process.  Portrait work ranges from family commissions to corporate publications and brochures. 

I have also undertaken work and supply images to the tourism and travel industry, and regularly carry out commissions and supply images to the local media and national newspapers.

My Commercial work has also incorporated the provision of still photography in conjunction with the making of commercial television ads.

Product photography relating to the food and aquaculture industry has also featured in my portfolio, as well as modelling work relating to the knitwear industry in Shetland. 
 
Some of this work has taken me out with Shetland and this is an avenue I am keen to pursue. For instance this summer I accompanied a group of artists on a trip up to Iceland, with the purpose being able to produce images in conjunction with their artistic work and also document the trip for future reference. 

The intention being to establish links for future visits.

Event photography also features in my work, relating to the Shetland music scene, this does extend to covering various productions and workshops in conjunction with the arts in Shetland.
